About the developer
BoldLabb is the solo account behind Basalt Lab. An independent iOS developer, BoldLabb built the entire app — SwiftUI/SwiftData architecture, the Apple Watch companion, Live Activities, Dynamic Island, WidgetKit, HealthKit, the backend — with no co-founder and no external team. Basalt Lab is the product of two years of strength training and frustration with existing apps: too social, too toy-like, or not truly native to iOS. The goal: an app that respects the user as much as the practice.
